* 1999-2000 Empire Beauty School, Shamokin Dam, PA. Graduated from cosmetology program with
Special Achievement Award in Hair color. Named Student of the Month 4 times. Earned Top Retail
Sales for 9 consecutive months. Upon graduation, was given Retail Seller of the Year award for top
sales out of all 88 Empire campuses nationwide.
* 2000 Empire Beauty School, Shamokin Dam, PA. Completed cosmetology teacher's program.
* 2001 B.O.C.E.S., Ogdensburg, NY. Completed an additional 250 hours of training in order to obtain
a New York cosmetology license.
LEADERSHIP POSITIONS AND OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
* Promoted to manager at Atmosphere after less than one month of employment. While at
Atmosphere, led all stylists in service sales for 7 consecutive months, and led all stylists in retail
sales for 6 consecutive months. Was also responsible for managing a staff of 15 stylists, nail
technicians, and massage therapists.
* Completed training at the International Dermal Institute in King of Prussia, PA. Recieved
certification in Dermalogica skincare products, Youngblood cosmetics, So-Cap hair extensions, Diva
eyelash extensions, Rusk thermal straightening system, and several other specialized services.
* Nominated as Best Stylist by Harrisburg Magazine in 2005 and 2006.
* Two-time NAHA (North American Hairstyling Awards) competitor.
* While at Great Clips, was named Stylist of the Week 11 times and Stylist of the Month 4 times.
* While at Fantastic Sam's, was named Stylist of the Month 6 times.
* While at Outlooks for Hair, was named Stylist of the Month 4 times, and inducted into the E-100
Club for high productivity.
* Has trained under many renowned educators and platform artists, including Farouk artistic team
member Danny LaPrade, It&ly Hairfashion's Deb Mariano, and Pivot Point's Manuel Rodriguez. Has
experience in competition hairstyling as well as editorial and runway styling.
* Has published over 250 articles on haircare in several magazines, including Dauphin County
Woman Magazine, Modern Woman Magazine, Metropolitan Mama Magazine, and Suite101.com
* Has spent 2 years as Beauty Editor for Suite101.com
