Care Guide

FAQs
HOW TO CARE FOR THIS HAIR
If you love shiny, weightless, shed-free hair, wash and go easy-care styles, allergic to chemicals
found in human hair extensions or potential lice, refuse to wear temple hair for religious reasons,
sick of human hair because the texture never matches your own, concerned about your hair's health
and growth, then this is the hair for you.  Cyberhair® is made of spun nylon and took over 10 years
in research to bring you the world's first patented healthier hair extension method.  Wet or dry, this
hair is still full of life.  It will retain its color and texture.  Even coloring or relaxers won't harm this
patented hair.  It doesn't matter what part of the world you live in and your weather conditions, you
can still enjoy this hair!
We will give you these extensions if your natural hair is healthy, or thinning; damage or strong.
Caring for Cyberhair is easy.  You brush using the loop brush or a soft boar bristle brush from the
ends to the roots.  Wash with
C-Formula shampoo and conditioner, brush it while you shampoo and
brush again while you condition.  Always keep this hair align.  Spray with the C-Formula final
protection and deep conditioner with the C-Formula once a week, brush out any tangles before you
wrap your hair in conditioner.  Coat with some oil or
hair butter to help seal in moisture, brush again
before you let it air dry.  If hair loses its shine, soak hair and condition more often to prevent the
frizzles.  Apply hair butter throughout the day as often as possible.  You must treat this hair as you
would your dry feet while wearing sandals.
This hair loves moisture.  It floats in water, the more water, the more deep conditioning treatment,
the more oil or hair butter you give it the better.  Plus the upside is that since you will moisturize this
hair to prevent dryness, you are automatically moisturizing your own hair.  Think of your hair like
your skin, it wants to be softer!
Other clients have tried Dove shampoo and conditioner, Ojon hair care products, Neutrogena
sesame oil,
Jane Carter Hair care products, Ethnic hair care oil, Aruba Aloe tanning products with
fabulous results.  Happy experimenting!

For tighter curls, use sponge rollers or a very low heat setting iron {heat must be on low that if you
touch it, you won't burn your fingers}.  Plus, this hair does not need styling products, it will retain its
style.   Well-maintained Cyberhair always stays in place
(& even on windy days will go back into
place)
so there's no need for junk alcohol containing products.  See image gallery some of our
amazing Cyberhair maintenance...so great one client kept hers in for 12 months with quarterly
fill-ins!  Click on Slide Shows.
Quick Tip for Bouncy Waves- twist small to large sections of damp hair and secure with a soft
scrunggi before bedtime.  Remove scrunggi, finger fluff hair and voila...movie star material!
If you are willing to maintain this hair, then we can help you reuse them.  If you do not want to care
for this hair, then we offer
volume discounts so you can come in every 4-6 weeks for a do over,
otherwise most well maintained cyberhair clients come in every 8-12 weeks.  We are able to help
you whatever your lifestyle, budget and hair goals.  During the consult, we will discuss your best
options based on your Questionnaire.

Here's an email dialog of a clients "S & R" who's first cyberhair extensions resulted in frizz and needed some tips from
another client who had minimal frizz in her first install but ZERO frizz her second install.  ENJOY!  PS. Please note there is no
editing, cyberhair extensions come in 10" not 13" and the product is CF444 not CF44.

Hello R --

Thank you for your response -- I just had my first quarterly fill-in and we discussed some frizz I had only at the ends (about an inch or two).
I did not use a single flat-iron, rollers, or even hairdryer on my extensions these first three months.  I use the satin pillow, brush regularly
(alot!) and moisturize.  I had zero dreads yesterday but couldn't figure out why I had a small amount of frizz.  I did lose about twenty
attachments, mostly from brushing too hard I think.
Charlene thought to put us in touch because I wasn't certain if maybe I was experiencing frizz because I tended to brush often, especially
when it is dry.  Perhaps you would recommend only brushing when moisturizing?
Any thoughts you can offer would be appreciated, especially for particular products you have found are excellent for moisturizing the ends?

Thanks so much,
S

Hello S!

This has been my experience: In February 2008 I got the 13 inch extension first and had no frizz after two months and then I kept them in
for 3 months before exchanging them for the 18 inch this past July. During those three months I did get frizzies from not brushing enough!
I've learned that they always need to be brushed in one direction - something I wasn't always doing since it was summer and I wanted to
keep the natural curl for more than one day - and so I didn't always brush it out enough....most of the frizzies were at the back of my head
near my neck...But perhaps in your case it would be best to ease up on the brushing....

Anyhow, now with the 18 inch (that I've had for one month now) I've been brushing once daily (occasionally more but not much more). Two
or three times a week when I'm home in the evening, I put it into a pony tail and dunk it into water for about 10 minutes (while watching
TV). Then I brush it again and add
CF44 and moisturizer to the ends and let it dry. Usually I put it into a braid at night so that it is naturally
wavy in the morning - I just fluff it out with my fingers and don't brush it again until that evening. I never leave the hair loose when sleeping
because that would cause frizzies due to friction. I've found that Biosilk's Silk Therapy works really well as a mosturizer - it's a concentrated
hair oil that smells good and only requires a small amount in each usage to do the job. I don't use any heating products either - but I found
when I first had the 13 inch - that occasionally blow drying after alot of CF 44 and mosturizing didn't hurt it at all. I do spray the CF 44 all
through the hair in the morning evening and several times throughout the day (whenever I think of it).

Whew! I know this is alot of info! I hope some of it helps!!

Good luck!

Hello again,

I just remembered a couple of other tidbits of care: When I'm in the shower I take the loop brush with me and after applying the shampoo
all through it, I brush my hair, starting in small sections until I can brush it all the way through from scalp to end without a hitch. I do the
same thing when I have the conditioner in it. Also, once a week or so I put a deep conditioner on the ends and leave it in while I do the rest
of my shower thing. (Some folks leave in this kind of conditioner after they've washed their hair for about twenty minutes to half hour before
rinsing it out. (This doesn't work so well for me, since my hair is fine and this process tends to make it too greasy).

Lastly, usually, whenever I use the CF44 all over the hair, I end  by spritzing some of it into my hand and then adding a small amount of the
bodysilk silk therapy together with it before applying it directly to the ends....

Okay, I think that's it...again, I hope some of this helps...it's definitely trial and error and just plain getting to know it better.

Here's another client who has ZERO FRIZZ cyberhair for over 12 months, what's her secrets- November 13, 2006

"I'd be glad to help if I could although I don't think I'm really doing anything special.  I just pamper my own hair to keep it as healthy as
possible; that seems to be what works for cyberhair too. You know how I'm always looking for great moisturizing products; won't go
anywhere near the alcohol-loaded styling stuff.   It's pretty much simple as that.   My favorites so far are Dove, Aruba Aloe; Ojon which
gives my hair the texture & shine it had in my twenties.  But Ojon, which is loaded with palm oil, can get kind of heavy after a few
shampoos. So I'll switch to Dove shampoo with Ojon conditioner everything's fantastic again.   Just mix &match.   I'm not sure I could help
anyone who insists on using hairspray & styling gunk because I'm convinced that ruins cyberhair.   Just look what happened to me at the
other salon.  once the strands get roughed up, they start to tangle - not to mention that they look feel like cotton. Honestly, well-maintained
cyberhair always stays in place (even on windy days will go back into place) so there's no need for hairspray. if a client wants fullness, skip
the styling products & just ask for more hair. No?"
